The curtains

Custom curtains — where fabric, craftsmanship, and hardware come together as one

Curtains are the most defining textile element of a window—they determine its proportions, frame the view, control the light, and contribute to acoustics and thermal comfort. Its design begins with the fabric: weight, drape, opacity, and light behavior. It continues with the method of construction—pinch pleats, box pleats, grommets, gathered tops—each producing a different look and imposing its own requirements for hardware.

The weight of the fabric is decisive. A heavy velvet requires a rod or track with high load-bearing capacity and reinforced brackets. A lightweight linen fabric lends itself to more discreet solutions—a slender rod, a recessed track, or a surface-mounted track. The installation height determines the effect: mounted at the ceiling, the curtain enlarges the space; mounted directly on the lintel, it frames the window.

Fabrics also differ in their technical properties: thermal insulation, sound absorption, total blackout, light filtering, and UV protection. The lining plays an essential role—it protects the fabric, enhances blackout performance, and improves durability over time. In public buildings, M1 fire rating is mandatory for all curtains in public spaces.

We custom-make each curtain in our workshop and manage on-site installation, including on complex mounting structures and in occupied spaces.
