Linkage & installation systems
The hardware is the backbone of window treatments—whether hidden or on display, it influences the final look just as much as the fabric itself. A poor choice can compromise the drape of a curtain, throw off the balance of a sheer, or make a blind difficult to operate. It must be considered from the very beginning of the design process, taking into account the fabric, the construction method, and the constraints of the mounting surface.
The systems fall into two categories. Rods—round or square, made of steel, brass, or resin—are visible and contribute to the aesthetic. They are compatible with all types of finials: rings, grommets, clips, and hooks. Their weight capacity varies depending on the diameter: a 28 mm steel rod supports heavy curtains; a slender rod is suitable for lightweight sheers. Rails—recessed into the ceiling, surface-mounted, or concealed within a rail cover—offer a discreet solution, suitable for contemporary designs, long lengths, and curves. Some accommodate two stacked rows, combining a curtain and a sheer on the same support.
The choice depends on the weight of the fabric, the length of the window, the type of mounting surface—concrete, stone, metal, or drywall—and regulatory requirements for corded or chain-operated blinds (EN 13120 standard in areas frequented by children).
We select and install the systems in coordination with the curtain fabrication process to ensure that every element is consistent from start to finish.
